Tucked in one of Cincinnati’s most beautiful neighborhoods is Amanda’s Hyde Park Bridal. A specialty bridal boutique that will make finding your wedding dress a dream!
Owner Amanda Cacaro has a long time passion for the bridal industry and it shows in every beautiful gown and accessory she has filled her boutique with. Wedding gowns from designers including Atelier Pronovias, Blue Willow by Anne Barge, Blush by Hayley Paige, Calla Blanche, Haute Bride, Hayley Paige, L’Amour by Calla Blanche, La Petite Hayley Paige, Made With Love, Pronovias, Tara Keely by Lazaro, Trish Peng and Untamed Petals fill the gorgeous boutique. Amanda wanted to “offer her brides something different, a personalized experience that she feels every bride deserves.”
Finding your dress at Hyde Park Bridal is a complete dream experience. With only one to two brides in the boutique at a time, the staff is able to get to know each client. A bride and her guests have their own private fitting room and sitting area. The appointment starts with a reserved parking spot and champagne for the bride and her guests!
We spoke with Amanda about trends for Fall and Winter wedding gowns and can’t wait to see how brides make these details their own!
TOWC: What are some of the trends you are seeing for your Fall and Winter brides?
Amanda: Fall and Winter brides have become more and more popular over the last couple of years and we are LOVING it! There are so many options that you simply can’t wear as the traditional “June bride” due to the heat so you have a lot more freedom in Fall/Winter months. The main trend we are seeing and loving is long sleeves! They have officially made a comeback but don’t worry, these are not your mom’s poofy long sleeves from the 80’s.
Unique laces, clean crepe fabrics, high necklines, plunging necklines, there are so many different options and routes you can go within the long sleeve trend so it truly is such a beautiful option where brides can show their unique style while also getting a little bit of the functional warmth for a Winter wedding.
TOWC: What styles and trends are you loving now?
Amanda: Our personal favorite trend right now is definitely 3-dimensional florals! We are seeing designers each tackle this trend in their own unique way and it is so fun and girly which is totally our style here at Hyde Park Bridal!
The dimension adds a new, exciting element in bridal gowns that brides weren’t seeing before while also often staying subtle and feminine as a classic bride would want. This is perfect for a bride who is wanting to look soft and feminine or even earthy and bohemian. We love a floral gown moment for an outdoor wedding.
TOWC: What dresses are your brides loving and requesting?
Amanda: I’d say our most requested trend from brides right now would be a more simple, clean look! Meghan Markle definitely solidified the trend of minimalism in the gown with an added dramatic veil but even before that, more and more brides were loving the simple crepe or silk gowns.
There is something so effortless and timeless about it all while managing to look modern and chic at the same time. It really makes the bride herself stand out and brides do love that it isn’t your traditional lace gown that we were seeing over and over again for so many years. You also have a lot more freedom to totally make it your own with a dramatic veil or some statement jewelry!
TOWC: Do you have any lines that are made for plus size brides?
Luckily all of our beautiful gowns can be ordered for any size bride! All women are beautiful and we love that more and more designers are beginning to see that there simply wasn’t enough representation in the industry for girls of all shapes, colors and sizes.
Two of our favorites that have really put an emphasis on their “curve collections” over the last couple of years are Hayley Paige and Pronovias. Pronovias just teamed up with plus size model Ashley Graham to create a line specifically made to compliment all body types and we are proud to have some of her gowns in store already with more on the way.
Amanda Cacaro graduated from The University of Cincinnati DAAP program in 2012 majoring in Fashion Design. Amanda was born and raised in Cincinnati and married her childhood sweetheart, Joe in May of 2014. She is mama to her son Channing and daughter Lyla. Amanda has always had a love for fashion and knew she had to work in the bridal industry.
Amanda worked for Glamour and Elle magazine, various fashion brands and bridal boutiques in California and the Cincinnati area before she decided to open her own store.
Amanda saw an opportunity to open a boutique in the popular Hyde Park area where no bridal boutique has ever been before. She wanted to offer her brides something different, a personalized experience that she feels every bride deserves. An experience and unique selection of gowns that just can’t be found in the Cincinnati area. Amanda and her staff look forward to meeting you!
