Jenni Pops is a Cleveland based bakery that makes the areas “prettiest hand-crafted and customizable cake pops and desserts.” Cake pops are versatile desserts that can be displayed in elegant tiers, decorated in edible sugar flowers that match your bouquet or customized with your wedding monogram. From Dark Chocolate to Salted Caramel, Oatmeal Cream Pie to Funfetti, there are over 30 flavors on the menu including four gluten-free options.

We asked Jen DaDante, owner and baker/designer at Jenni Pops a few questions about her love for cooking and baking and her recommendations for what pops to bring to the party! 

When did you start baking?

My journey here began when I was young. My childhood was shaped by SO MUCH Italian food. 🇮🇹 My father was an amazing Italian chef, and my mother is still one of the kindest and most creative people on the planet. He ingrained in me at an early age that cooking is rewarding and worth the time and effort to make something delicious. He called it “baking with love”, aka “just add more butter”. 🤣

What are some of your most popular and favorite flavor combinations?

Our most popular cake pops flavors are classic Chocolate and Vanilla. For weddings, we make ALOT of Red Velvet, Almond, and Lemon.  I’m a sucker for anything chocolate! Chocolate Espresso has been my favorite lately (I guess this momma needs more coffee, lol). Pumpkin or Lemon Blueberry are close seconds. It’s so hard to pick. So many good ones! All the flavors here!

For a couple whose space is industrial but they want to counter the hard lines with softness and an air of romance, what cake pop flavor and design would you recommend?

LOVE this theme! Hand-painted cake pops with metallic/copper accents and hints of soft blush would be perfect for this romantic color palette. Our hand-painted pops are a huge hit with this trendy theme. Custom, sophisticated, and memorable.

I would suggest Red Velvet for Fall/Winter weddings. Appropriately named for its deep red color, red velvet cake is the perfect hue to represent love and romance on your wedding day. Its flavor is not quite chocolaty yet not quite vanilla either. A definite crowd-pleaser. 

I would suggest Lemon for Spring/Summer weddings. For brides who love all things citrus, consider mixing a tangy lemon cake pop with a sweet berry for a totally laid-back last course. Simple and refreshing, a lemon-flavored dessert pairs perfectly with warm weather. 

For a couple who wants to WOW their guests with unique flavor combinations and design elements, what would you recommend?

Jenni Pops can match any color or theme. We primarily make custom cake pops and mini desserts to pair perfectly with any event. Send us any of your Pinterest/mood boards and we can come up with something to WOW your guests.

We are constantly trying to push the boundaries of our industry. With our creative background, we always want that WOW factor. If you can dream it, we can do it. 

Some of our more unique flavors include Apple Pie, Chocolate Malt, Cookie Butter, English Toffee, Frutti Pebbles, Oatmeal Cream Pie, Lemon Lavender, and Ube. If there is a particular flavor you’re looking for, to satisfy your sweet tooth, just ask!

We love your chocolate-dipped strawberries! Is this a good option for weddings?

Why have one dessert, when you can have several? Solve this problem by having a dessert table filled with a variety of delicious mini-desserts. Your guests can help themselves and the choice will appeal to more people. 
Mini desserts like chocolate-covered strawberries are a hot trend right now.

Keep the romantic theme going by serving these little beauties in addition to other mini desserts. This would work on a dessert table or having a few of them on each table to be shared. 

Did we mention these pair perfectly with champagne for an elegant bridal shower brunch?
