Season: Fall
Our wedding was truly the most magical day of our lives. Our vision and hard work of planning was executed beautifully by the team at Gervasi Vineyard. It was a day full of love and happiness, we could feel the positive vibes from each guest and worker we encountered. Our day started by hanging out in the Villas with our bridal party, one for girls and one for the guys. We laughed and cried and had a blast getting ready together and taking photos. That led straight into the ceremony where the sun started to peak out from behind the clouds. Our ceremony was filled with live music, laughs and tears.
We shared a sip from a bottle of wine to show our unity and become one. Our guests were then headed to cocktail hour and we went off to take pictures throughout the winery. That was one of my favorite parts of the day. Once we finished pictures, we headed to the pavilion where we shared our first dance with each other and danced with dad and mom.
We shared a donut for our tasting and sat down to listen to the toasts made by our siblings and fathers. The dance floor then opened up for all guests and we stayed there until the night came to a close, our hearts full and happy.
Color: Burgundy, blues, greenery, and ivory
Unquie: Both of our grandmothers did not make it to see our wedding. We were lucky enough to be so close and we knew we wanted them to be a part of the day. I was able to wear my husband’s grandmother’s blue ring as part of my something blue and something old. I also had my grandmother’s angel necklace draped around my bouquet so I felt them both walking down the aisle with me.
Favorite story from the day: We have a lot but we have to say one of our favorite stories to come out of the day was the ceremony. It started with watching our 2-year-old nephew cry hysterically walking the down and dropping our ring box. Safe to say our rings made it to the altar and it started the ceremony with all smiles!
