Hi there! My name is Tessa and I am the photographer and business owner behind Starling Studio! After 10 years of photographing weddings I still can't believe how fortunate I am to have found a career I love so much! I get to celebrate with my clients on the best day of their lives and capture all those sweet moments and beautiful details so they can cherish them for a lifetime! With a degree in photojournalism my passion stems from visual storytelling and capturing authentic moments while allowing you to relax and enjoy your special day.

I worked for several years as an editorial magazine photographer. So, wedding photography really was the perfect match for me as it mixes both my journalistic background for all of those lovely candid moments as well as my editorial background for the portrait portion of the day!

You can count on me to help you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, make sure no personal detail is missed, and tell your unique story.

Upon booking, you will receive a full list of trusted vendor recommendations, a bridal guide, complementary engagement session and a friend (that’s me!) who will be there along the way as you plan your best day EVER! I will sit down with you to create a custom timeline (preferably over Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams!), be available to answer any questions that inevitably pop up throughout the planning process, keep the flower girl smiling, and ensure your day runs smoothly. We're in this together!

When I'm not photographing weddings or providing freelance photography for local businesses and magazines, I spend my time with my three daughters and my husband at our home in Westerville. We love exploring Columbus, especially grabbing Vietnamese food at the North Market and spending long summer days running around the Columbus Zoo.
